Kienyeji mash formula

Kienyeji mash is a type of feed that is commonly used for indigenous or local chicken breeds in Africa. The following is a basic formula for making kienyeji mash:

Ingredients:

  • Maize meal (50%)
  • Wheat bran (20%)
  • Sunflower cake (20%)
  • Fishmeal (10%)

Instructions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a large container.
  2. Store the mixture in a cool and dry place.
  3. Feed the chickens with the mash as needed.

Notes:

  • You can adjust the ratios of the ingredients based on the age and size of your chickens and their nutritional needs.
  • You can also add other ingredients such as omena (small dried fish), sorghum, millet, or soybean cake to the mixture.
  • It is important to provide your chickens with fresh and clean water at all times and to supplement their diet with green vegetables, fruits, and grit for digestion.
